Problems Running Bot

We have many happy customers for whom the bot works quite well. This bot operates reliably for all of our long-term customers, and it should do so for you too. If you are having any trouble with the bot then please refer to the support material here or contact us for assistance.

When I start the bot I get the error saying the dungeon is not recognizable

This error is shown when the bot cannot see the Hero Wars dungeon. The bot requires that you have the browser window open with the game in the dungeon so that it can read the screen and see where it is. If you do have the browser open with the game in the dungeon then the problem is your display settings are not standard and that makes the bot unable to visually identify anything. To fix this you need to ensure that your monitor's scaling is set to 100%, that your browser's zoom level is 100%, that the game is the normal size and not fullscreen, and your color profiles must be at the default values. If any of these settings are non-standard then the bot cannot read the screen and this error will be displayed. For help with these settings please refer to the display settings page.

Sometimes the bot works and sometimes it doesn't navigate the dungeon correctly

This is likely because of an image recognition problem. It could be related to using multiple monitors, or color profiles. Please refer to the display settings for more help with this.

The bot will steal my account!

No it won't. Your account is likely linked to Facebook or another social platform and cannot be transferred. In order to steal your Hero Wars account your entire social platform account would have to be taken and never recovered. This is not very practical, obviously wrong and illegal, and doing this would not make us money. We make money through ongoing subscriptions from happy customers, and not from customers who stop their subscription or lose their account. Our bot will never snoop or steal anything, and it will keep you happy by grinding through the dungeon while you step away!

The bot does not start!

If you extract the hwdb.exe file and run it, but it does not start and you see no settings window, then it is likely that Windows Security is blocking the bot. This happens because Windows Security misidentifies the bot as malware, often thinking it is a trojan, when it does not have any malware at all. Security algorithnms detect the code which allows the bot to read the screen and send mouse commands and it flags that as 'harmful' and prevents it from running. To fix this issue you can use these instructions to exclude HWDB from the Windows Security check. After completing this step the bot should start and run correctly.

My antivirus software blocks the bot from running

It is very common for antivirus software to incorrectly identify the bot as malware. This is known as a false positive. The bot has code in it which allows it to read the screen and send mouse control commands and this allows it to play the game for you. Most antivirus software will always assume that this kind of code is malicious and there is no way for us to get our game bot approved with antivirus companies. If you choose to trust us and run our bot then you will need to whitelist or exclude our hwdb.exe file in your antivirus checks. To do this you will need to follow your antivirus software's instructions because the steps are different for each product.

Virus scan - detailed results

If you are concerned about virus scan results for HWDB then please use VirusTotal to do a detailed scan of hwdb.exe using 70 different virus scanners. VirusTotal will show you the detailed results from all these different scanners of any file you upload, and doing so with HWDB will show you that the vast majority of virus scanners do not believe this program to be dangerous. There are typically a few scanners that use vague scanning algorithms that return a high rate of positive results however, so it is very normal for a few to throw some red flags. The majority should always be green though.

How do referrals work?

When you register an account you will be given a referral link on your account page. Share this link with your friends and receive a credit each time they pay for a subscription plan! When your friend makes a payment for a monthly plan then you will receive 1 free day added to your subscription. If your friend uses a weekly plan then you will receive 6 free hours added to your subscription. You will receive the credit every time your friend pays their subscription fee, perpetually, as long as they keep their subscription active.

How does the Water 4+1 Healing Rotation work?

This option is meant to be used when your water team is very strong with a maxed Water Totem to provide the best healing for the team. This technique allows your maxed out titan teams to continue almost endlessly through the dungeon. This mode will always choose multi-titan battles, use all four water titans and then add the weakest 5th member to the team. This will heal your weakest and most important titan and then rotate them out before the next battle if another titan needs healing. This is the best way to fight through the dungeon if you want to make the most progress possible.

The bot does not get as much titanite as me

We have worked hard to implement smart effective strategies into the bot, but this bot will never be better than a skilled player. This bot will always save you tons of time though! Maybe 30 hours a month saved if you spend an hour a day in the dungeon :O The bot usually gets pretty good titanite returns too. If you have ideas for better strategies then please let us know and we might be able to implement them in the future.

I want to pay with something other than a credit card

Our service only automates the subscription process through Stripe, our credit card processing service. We can accept out-of-band payments and process them manually but the amount being paid must be for at least 6 months and you must coordinate the payment with us through email. We will need to agree on the payment method, amount, and your account via email before you send any payment.

I need a longer free trial
